Hon. Ndyomugyenyi Roland Bish roots deep down in Ryabirengye, Nyakasiru, Bukinda sub county, Rukiga District. Hon Ndyomugyenyi Roland Bish commonly known as Uncle Bish, a duly nominated candidate for Member of Parliament for Rukiga County, a Christian, a class teacher, certified chartered accountant, international auditor with ACCA and a prominent businessman was born to Alice and Eli Kahene from Abeitira clan on 5th, August 1977. Roland is happily married to Doreen Uwimana Sanyu,from the Basigi clan.
Roland has a humble beginning and made it through public schools. He attended Nyabirerema Primary school , Rwamanyonyi Secondary School(UCE) then St Paul’s Bukinda S S(UACE) and subsequently earned a Diploma in Education from Kakoba Mbarara. He later attained a first class degree in Bachelor of Arts in Development studies from Makerere University and advanced to Herriot Wat University in UK for a Masters in Business Administration.
After graduation, Roland commenced his Audit career with Earnest and Young, a top international Audit firm where he fostered transparency and accountability in government institutions from where he joined Barclays Bank as a Rigor Manager for Uganda. By merit, Hon Roland became a Uganda Road Fund’s Audit and compliance personnel. Roland polished his career with Nile basin, a World Bank project as Head of Audit for East and Horn Africa.
Hon Roland has all through served on numerous committees and councils namely the Chairman School Council – Rwamanyonyi Secondary School, Chairman Rukiga Students Association (RUSA) – Makerere University, Treasurer General Homeboys Association, Chairman Wandugu Foundation, Chairman Ryabirengye Kampala Association, Promoter St. Paul’s S.S.S Bukinda, Member of the Development Committee of Nyabirererma Archdeaconry and Chairman Health and Sanitation- Ryabirengye COU.
Hon. Roland, is keen on community based service and development. He has been at the forefront of championing tea development in wider Kigezi region particularly in Rukiga, a project that has provided employment opportunities to so many people in Rukiga. He has been the lead fundraiser for religious institutions and schools in Rukiga Constituency with the most recent being the provision of temperature guns to all religious institutions in the wake of Covid 19 pandemic. He led the financial race for Ngorogoza foundation and Ngorogoza house /museum.
Hon Roland has utmost dedication towards education. He lobbied for the establishment of a state of the art E-library worth 600 million at Bukinda Secondary School. Hon Roland was the lead fundraiser for Kabale University Project that apparently boasts to be a full scale national University. He has as well established a music academy in Rukiga and has been at the helm of providing support to candidate classes in terms of motivational talks, scholastic materials and liaison network for the schools. Hon Roland has had a huge contribution to the good performance of St Paul SS Bukinda and contributed enormously for its Bus project.
His passion towards development is unmatched.
